Senior Apartments are usually not large or sprawling and are specially designed to meet the needs of senior citizens. They can be purchased or rented, and range in size from  small studios to 3-bedrooms and may include a kitchen and dining area. They often have lower cabinets to provide easier access and they usually have little or no stairs. Generally, children are not allowed in these apartments but there is an exception for HUD-sponsored apartments. Senior Apartments are structured to fit many budgets with luxury standard and low-income apartments often available.
